A Special Note to the Reader: Understanding the Formatting of the Prophetic Lessons
|
I wanted to provide you with an example of the format of the prophetic words that are contained in this website so that you can understand what the different font sizes, etc., mean. For illustration, I will use a passage from the lesson entitled, "Body, Soul, and Spirit."
Body, soul, and spirit must all synergistically access the Word of Truth. {The usual order of operation has been that the soul (the seat of personality, intellect, and emotions) has provided the steering of the body, with the spirit relegated to being a back seat occupant, with little or no input. With the untransformed soul in control, the motivation and direction spring from the lust of the flesh (sensualism); the lust of the eyes (materialism); and the pride of life (humanism). [1 John 2:15 Do Not Love the World or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. NKJV] The untransformed soul is a product of the individual's experiences and genetic predispositions. As such, it is a reflection--not of Christ--but of the fallen order. [Ephesians 4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, NKJV]
The renewed (transformed) order of operation must have the renewed spirit (in cooperation with the Holy Spirit) as the steering force with the soul being--not only directed--but also taught by the spirit. [Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. NKJV] In this way, the soul becomes the vehicle for the spirit, and as such, a conduit to show forth the glory of the Lord in this earth. Finally, the body must be strapped into the back seat where it is compelled to go where the spirit leads. [1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. 26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. 27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. NKJV]}
In the above excerpt, the large, bold, font indicates words that are the result of what the Spirit spoke to me exactly, as if giving dictation. When these large, bold, words are encased with these: { }, this indicates that I am finding the best words that I can for an impression or picture given to me during the lesson.
Before further explanation of formatting, I would like to take a moment to explain the difference between what I receive from the Lord by way of dictation, versus imagery or an impression.
As I explained in "Lessons from the Throne," often when the Lord speaks to me concerning a particular subject or prophetic message, it is as if my spirit is receiving a dictated message by way of the Holy Spirit. And as stated above, I write down the words exactly as are spoken to me. Now, I want to give you an example that will help you understand how the impression form of communication works.
Let's say that I, as your boss, have seen your office or cubicle and have determined that it is unacceptable in appearance. Now, there are at least two ways that I could communicate my directive to you concerning the condition of your workspace. First, I could describe (with words) to you what I have observed and then instruct you (with words) what I want to see done about the situation. On the other hand, I could send you a digital photo of how your workspace looks accompanied by another digital image of a neat, professional-looking workspace. I guarantee you that you would get the same message from both of my communications with you. However, one used only words, and the other used no words. Now, also imagine that I send a third type of message in which I say something like, "Workers who do not respect their work space are in danger of termination." You still got the point, right?
I have offered the above explanation to help you understand a little more about how the Lord gives me these lessons. I also want you to understand that the formatting that I am using is for the purpose of trying to make clear the manner in which each word was received.
Back to formatting issues:
The parts of the message that are in small, bold font are explanations, examples, or comments that I add to further illuminate the intended message. I also use the small, bold font to highlight the book and chapter of scriptural references. The scriptural references are italicized for contrast.
As the need arises I will further inform you concerning any additional formatting issues.
Thank you for your interest in the Word of the Lord!
