God is Calling. Are YOU Listening?

TRANSFORMED!

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.  And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:1 & 2 NKJV

Salvation is made possible through Jesus Christ.  When we recognize that we need a Savior (acknowledging the fact that we are a sinner, alienated from God, with no means of our own to make it right), and accept Jesus Christ as that Savior, a wonderful new life in the Spirit begins!  But, we must then allow the Holy Spirit to lead us into a victorious lifestyle that pleases and brings glory to our Father.  The means toward total renewal and restoration has been provided.  However, true transformation comes only as we submit all areas of our being to the Lordship of Christ—which means embracing (walking in total obedience to) the Word and allowing the power of the Holy Spirit to lead us into the total renewal of our minds.

Following, is a short lesson that will help you to more fully understand the concept of "transformation," by using the letters of the word itself to help you see some areas that must be impacted by our walk in the Spirit

THOUGHTS-

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. NKJV 2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down

strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, NKJV

REACTIONS-

Proverbs 29:11 A fool vents all his feelings,

But a wise man holds them back. NKJV

ATTITUDES-

Matthew 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.  6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.  7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.  8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.  9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.  10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  11 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. NKJV

NEEDS-

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. 11Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, NKJV

SIGHT-

Luke 11:34 The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is bad, your body also is full of darkness. 35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36  If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light." NKJV

FOUNDATION-

Colossians 2:6 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 7 rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. NKJV

ORIENTATION-

Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."  NKJV

REALITY-

Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. NKJV

MOTIVATIONS-

Ephesians 5:1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. NKJV Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. NKJV

EMOTIONS-

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. NKJV

DIRECTION-

Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. NKJV
