The New Creation
A Prophetic Lesson

The Lord spoke to me and said, "If you know who you are--you won't struggle with who you were."  By knowing the true meaning of being "born again," we will be able to operate in the newness of life that God has made possible for us through Jesus Christ.  This prophetic lesson helps illuminate what being a new creation really means and beckons for us to walk into all that God has prepared for those who have been born again by the Spirit!

Prophetic Word on the New Creation               10-23-2009

I have not called you a new creation to indicate a new way of being perceived—as a new title—I have called you a new creation because My Spirit has brought you back into unison with the Divine Order.  (Sensitivity to the Spirit is restored and the Holy Spirit is now in contact with your inner, eternal person.) [2 Corinthians 5:14-19; Galatians 6:14; Hebrews 8:10; Romans 2:28; John 3:5] However, the tension you feel; the restraint; the contradiction, comes as a result of the fact that you are now bound to a fallen vehicle.  It is part of the earth that remains in a fallen state until the day of redemption of all things.  [Romans 8:23-25; 2 Corinthians 5:1; Matthew 26:41]  I have sorrow for your state but I see you now as you will be in eternity with me.  [Ephesians 2:6]  You struggle—it isn't just to thwart you—the ultimate test (training) of the new creation is its struggle against what was once in control. (Standing against the temptation can drive you further into Christ.)  [James 4:7] Familiarity of the fallen captures the attention of the flesh.  It (the flesh) desires what it can control.  It desires to be manifested.  [Romans 7:5]  Who are you really? Is it the one who desires to do good and to glory in My presence—or is it the one who works contrary to all that is good?  I tell you that your true identity is hidden in Christ—only there is it safe from the tentacles of the evil one. [2 Corinthians 5:16-18; Romans 7:23-8:4; Galatians 5:16; Colossians 3:1-3]  He (Satan) can touch your flesh and so enters in through it.  He creates a reality then invites you to stay there.  His invitation is deceptive for he desires domination and he will have it if you enter into that which he controls.  [John 10:10] Remain in Me and I will keep you safe from his devices that seek entrance through your flesh.  I have not forgotten what the pull of the flesh is—I came in flesh so that in the flesh I could bring victory and relief to you. [Hebrews 4:15] I Am the Way for I have overcome the flesh for you.  As you follow after Me you will see complete liberation from those strongholds that come when you are weak.  My Word is like a whip against the evil one.  It marks him and he flees; it condemns him and he is neutralized. [Ephesians 6:17] Lures from your experience serve to tempt you to give attention to the false reality so that you once again forget who you are.  Your new name is in the Book of Life—that is all you need to know—how you feel is the result of the perspective of the flesh.  [Isaiah 62:1; Revelation 2:17]  The residue of the old man is in it and it desires to bring that perspective into the new man, created in righteousness.  Great power is available to those who will walk according to the Spirit.  Your life depends on your ability to walk in what I have said.  (Walking according to what Christ has said is walking in the Spirit)  [Romans 13:14] When gross darkness closes in—the light of Truth leads the way.  The New Creation cannot survive outside of Me.

Scriptures for Prophetic Word on the New Creation

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

17 What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! 18 All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. This is the wonderful message he has given us to tell others. 20 We are Christ's ambassadors, and God is using us to speak to you. We urge you, as though Christ himself were here pleading with you, "Be reconciled to God!" 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ. NLT

Galatians 6:14-16

14 As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world died long ago, and the world's interest in me is also long dead. 15 It doesn't make any difference now whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we really have been changed into new and different people. 16 May God's mercy and peace be upon all those who live by this principle. They are the new people of God.   NLT

Hebrews 8:10

10 But this is the new covenant I will make

with the people of Israel on that day, says the Lord:

I will put my laws in their minds

so they will understand them,

and I will write them on their hearts

so they will obey them.

I will be their God,

and they will be my people. NLT

Romans 2:28-29

28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God. NKJV

John 3:5-8

5 Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.   6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven.  7 So don't be surprised at my statement that you must be born again.  8 Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit."  NLT

Romans 8:23-27

23 And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain and suffering. We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as his children, including the new bodies he has promised us. 24 Now that we are saved, we eagerly look forward to this freedom. For if you already have something, you don't need to hope for it. 25 But if we look forward to something we don't have yet, we must wait patiently and confidently. 26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don't even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. NLT

2 Corinthians 5:1-7

For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down — when we die and leave these bodies — we will have a home in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. 2 We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long for the day when we will put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. 3 For we will not be spirits without bodies, but we will put on new heavenly bodies. 4 Our dying bodies make us groan and sigh, but it's not that we want to die and have no bodies at all. We want to slip into our new bodies so that these dying bodies will be swallowed up by everlasting life. 5 God himself has prepared us for this, and as a guarantee he has given us his Holy Spirit. 6 So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. 7 That is why we live by believing and not by seeing. NLT

Matthew 26:41

41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." NKJV

Ephesians 2:6-10

6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ, and we are seated with him in the heavenly realms — all because we are one with Christ Jesus. 7 And so God can always point to us as examples of the incredible wealth of his favor and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us through Christ Jesus. 8 God saved you by his special favor when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. NLT

James 4:7-9

7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you. 8 Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery]. 9[As you draw near to God] be deeply penitent and grieve, even weep [over your disloyalty]. Let your laughter be turned to grief and your mirth to dejection and heartfelt shame [for your sins]. AMP

Romans 7:5-6

5 When your old nature was still active, sinful desires were at work within you, making you want to do whatever God said not to and producing sinful deeds, the rotting fruit of death. 6 But now you need no longer worry about the Jewish laws and customs because you "died" while in their captivity, and now you can really serve God; not in the old way, mechanically obeying a set of rules, but in the new way, [with all of your hearts and minds]. TLB

2 Corinthians 5:16-18

16 So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though he were merely a human being. How differently I think about him now! 17 What this means is that those who become Christians become new persons. They are not the same anymore, for the old life is gone. A new life has begun! 18 All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to himself through what Christ did. NLT

Romans 7:23-8:4

23 but there is something else deep within me, in my lower nature, that is at war with my mind and wins the fight and makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. In my mind I want to be God's willing servant, but instead I find myself still enslaved to sin. So you see how it is: my new life tells me to do right, but the old nature that is still inside me loves to sin. Oh, what a terrible predicament I'm in! Who will free me from my slavery to this deadly lower nature? Thank God! It has been done by Jesus Christ our Lord. He has set me free. 8:1 So there is now no condemnation awaiting those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 For the power of the life-giving Spirit-and this power is mine through Christ Jesus-has freed me from the vicious circle of sin and death. 3 We aren't saved from sin's grasp by knowing the command-

ments of God because we can't and don't keep them, but God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours-except that ours are sinful-and destroyed sin's control over us by giving himself as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 So now we can obey God's laws if we follow after the Holy Spirit and no longer obey the old evil nature within us. TLB

Galatians 5:16-17

16 But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

17 For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the [Holy] Spirit, and the [desires of the] Spirit are opposed to the flesh (godless human nature); for these are antagonistic to each other [continually withstanding and in conflict with each other], so that you are not free but are prevented from doing what you desire to do. AMP

Colossians 3:1-8

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God's right hand in the place of honor and power. 2 Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. 3 For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. 5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don't be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. 6 God's terrible anger will come upon those who do such things. 7 You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. NLT

John 10:10

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. NKJV

Hebrews 4:14-16

14 Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].

15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

16 Let us then fearlessly and confidently and boldly draw near to the throne of grace (the throne of God's unmerited favor to us sinners), that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find grace to help in good time for every need [appropriate help and well-timed help, coming just when we need it]. AMP

Ephesians 6:17-18

17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. NLT

Isaiah 62:1-4

For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace,

And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest,

Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,

And her salvation as a lamp that burns.

2 The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,

And all kings your glory.

You shall be called by a new name,

Which the mouth of the LORD will name.

3 You shall also be a crown of glory

In the hand of the LORD,

And a royal diadem

In the hand of your God.

4 You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,

Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;

But you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; NKJV

Revelation 2:17

17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it."' NKJV

Romans 13:14

14 But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts). AMP
