FREEDOM

"The freedom you desire comes at a cost to your idea of 'self'.  You have accumulated ideas of who you are as you gaze in the mirror of your experience.  Without the Father to reflect upon the created design--you flounder to define yourself."

These are the words at the beginning of a prophetic lesson that the Lord gave me on the subject of "Freedom."  Through this lesson you will learn what freedom really is and how it is obtained!

Prophetic Lesson on Freedom     Written 6-21-2010

1 John 3:1-3; 1 Corinthians 1:2; John 8:31-47

The freedom you desire comes at a cost to your idea of "self."  You have accumulated ideas of who you are as you gaze in the mirror of your experience.  Without the Father to reflect upon the created design—you flounder to define yourself.  [In the Father, we see who we were created to be and are conformed to that image] So—with what are you left—the sum of the activities around you since the time you could receive information.  A word spoken here; a look received there; define—in your thinking—the framework of your identity. [Our actions are based on what we believe to be true—so forming us into the image of deception.]  ALL of these things are deceptive and only convey what you are outside of the I AM.  I only know who you are; I only can guide you to fulfilling and realizing the Heavenly Vision—the eternal gifted spirit.

The desire of the enemy is to, at all costs, and by all means, distract you from finding out who you really are.  And yet—the soul longs to know without knowing where to look.  So—you look to the fallen order to tell you—and what do you see—the broken image.  So many of your calamities would be dissolved if you could only see what the enemy tries so hard to obscure.  He has formed each experience to strategically divert you from looking,

and seeing, the purpose of the eternal gifted spirit you contain in the frailty of human flesh.

My Spirit designs your experience to cause you to stop and consider so as to begin to see the crack in the façade of deception. My servant saw the burning bush, turned aside from what he was doing, and heard the call of purpose.

Exodus 2:11-15; Exodus 3:1-6; Exodus 3:11

Many times I have placed signs on your path—but instead of stopping and considering, you have turned away out of fear.  You did not realize that it was the Lord who desired to draw you aside from your self-determined purpose to give you the opportunity to see—if only for a moment—the possibility so long neglected, yet still available.  You can only do what you desire to do as you are willing to drop all preconceived (formed in the mind in advance) ideas of who you are.  Clinging to your devices only serves to anchor you to the deception concerning who you are.

2 Corinthians 3:12-4:5

I have visited you in dreams and visions.  You have even seen who you were created to be without recognizing yourself.

You must be the one to choose to turn from the path of illusion and take My hand so that I may lead you into the path of purpose.

Romans 6:15-23

There is no provision for returning to your original notions—all has to be abandoned for the cause—the cause of God fulfilled through Christ.  I will not rebuild you.  I will remake you with spiritual materials.  "All things new," is not just a way of thinking about what I do—it is substance—it is eternal in nature.

Revelation 21:5-7; Galatians 6:14-16; Ephesians 4:20-24;

Galatians 2:17-21; Colossians 3:5-11

Oh how many forfeit the eternal for the allure of the temporal.  You say, "But I can not see beyond this place. I must take what I can."  Yet I will show you, in the Spirit, that that I have prepared for you.  It has been obscured by your hurts and the desires that have formed as a result of those transgressions.

Galatians 4:19-20; 1 Peter 4:1-7

Entering into My rest—resting from your labor—means abandoning your idea of what you need for the pursuit of My Spirit.  In My Spirit is everything that you need.

PURPOSE      PROVISION     PRODUCTION

"Be still and know," references your position: still in My hand; free from all other influences.

Scriptures for Prophetic Lesson on
“Freedom”

1 John 3:1-3
See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are! But the people who belong to this world don't know God, so they don't understand that we are his children. 2 Yes, dear friends, we are already God's children, and we can't even imagine what we will be like when Christ returns. But we do know that when he comes we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 3 And all who believe this will keep themselves pure, just as Christ is pure. NLT

1 Corinthians 1:2
2 We are writing to the church of God in Corinth, you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus, just as he did all Christians everywhere — whoever calls upon the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and theirs. NLT

John 8:31-47
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.  32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."  33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, 'You will be made free'?"
34 Jesus answered them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.  35 And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever.  36 Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.  37 "I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.  38 I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father."
39 They answered and said to Him, "Abraham is our father."
Jesus said to them, "If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham.  40 But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this.  41 You do the deeds of your father."  Then they said to Him, "We were not born of fornication; we have one Father — God." 42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.  43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word.  44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.  45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me.  46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?  47 He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God."  NKJV

Romans 1:24-25
24 So God let them go ahead and do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other's bodies. 25 Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. NLT

Exodus 2:11-15
11 Many years later, when Moses had grown up, he went out to visit his people, the Israelites, and he saw how hard they were forced to work. During his visit, he saw an Egyptian beating one of the Hebrew slaves. 12 After looking around to make sure no one was watching, Moses killed the Egyptian and buried him in the sand. 13 The next day, as Moses was out visiting his people again, he saw two Hebrew men fighting. "What are you doing, hitting your neighbor like that?" Moses said to the one in the wrong. 14 "Who do you think you are?" the man replied. "Who appointed you to be our prince and judge? Do you plan to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?" Moses was badly frightened because he realized that everyone knew what he had done. 15 And sure enough, when Pharaoh heard about it, he gave orders to have Moses arrested and killed. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and escaped to the land of Midian. NLT

Exodus 3:1-6
One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he went deep into the wilderness near Sinai, the mountain of God. 2 Suddenly, the angel of the LORD appeared to him as a blazing fire in a bush. Moses was amazed because the bush was engulfed in flames, but it didn't burn up. 3 "Amazing!" Moses said to himself. "Why isn't that bush burning up? I must go over to see this." 4 When the LORD saw that he had caught Moses' attention, God called to him from the bush, "Moses! Moses!"
"Here I am!" Moses replied.
5 "Do not come any closer," God told him. "Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground." 6 Then he said, "I am the God of your ancestors — the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." When Moses heard this, he hid his face in his hands because he was afraid to look at God. NLT

Exodus 3:11
11 "But who am I to appear before Pharaoh?" Moses asked God. "How can you expect me to lead the Israelites out of Egypt?" NLT

2 Corinthians 3:12-4:5
12 Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech — 13 unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. 15 But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 4
4:1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. 2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. NKJV

Romans 6:15-23
15 So since God's grace has set us free from the law, does this mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! 16 Don't you realize that whatever you choose to obey becomes your master? You can choose sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God and receive his approval. 17 Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you have obeyed with all your heart the new teaching God has given you. 18 Now you are free from sin, your old master, and you have become slaves to your new master, righteousness. 19 I speak this way, using the illustration of slaves and masters, because it is easy to understand. Before, you let yourselves be slaves of impurity and lawlessness. Now you must choose to be slaves of righteousness so that you will become holy. 20 In those days, when you were slaves of sin, you weren't concerned with doing what was right. 21 And what was the result? It was not good, since now you are ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. NLT

Revelation 21:5-7
5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful." 6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. NKJV

Galatians 6:14-16
14 As for me, God forbid that I should boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world died long ago, and the world's interest in me is also long dead. 15 It doesn't make any difference now whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we really have been changed into new and different people. 16 May God's mercy and peace be upon all those who live by this principle. They are the new people of God.  NLT

Ephesians 4:20-24
20 But that isn't what you were taught when you learned about Christ. 21 Since you have heard all about him and have learned the truth that is in Jesus, 22 throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. 23 Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. 24 You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God's likeness — righteous, holy, and true. NLT

Galatians 2:17-21
17 But what if we seek to be made right with God through faith in Christ and then find out that we are still sinners? Has Christ led us into sin? Of course not! 18 Rather, I make myself guilty if I rebuild the old system I already tore down. 19 For when I tried to keep the law, I realized I could never earn God's approval. So I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ. 20 I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. So I live my life in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 21 I am not one of those who treats the grace of God as meaningless. For if we could be saved by keeping the law, then there was no need for Christ to die. NLT

Colossians 3:5-11
5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don't be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. 6 God's terrible anger will come upon those who do such things. 7 You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. 8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. 9 Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you. 11 In this new life, it doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. NLT

Galatians 4:19-20
19 But oh, my dear children! I feel as if I am going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives. 20 How I wish I were there with you right now, so that I could be more gentle with you. But at this distance I frankly don't know what else to do. NLT

1 Peter 4:1-7
So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you are willing to suffer for Christ, you have decided to stop sinning. 2 And you won't spend the rest of your life chasing after evil desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God. 3 You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy — their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.
4 Of course, your former friends are very surprised when you no longer join them in the wicked things they do, and they say evil things about you. 5 But just remember that they will have to face God, who will judge everyone, both the living and the dead. 6 That is why the Good News was preached even to those who have died — so that although their bodies were punished with death, they could still live in the spirit as God does. 7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. NLT

Colossians 3:1-4
3:1 IF THEN you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
3 For [as far as this world is concerned] you have died, and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, Who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in [the splendor of His] glory. AMP

Matthew 9:27-29
27 As Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed Him, shouting loudly, Have pity and mercy on us, Son of David!
28 When He reached the house and went in, the blind men came to Him, and Jesus said to them, Do you believe that I am able to do this? They said to Him, Yes, Lord.
29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, According to your faith and trust and reliance [on the power invested in Me] be it done to you; AMP
