Prophetic Lesson on “Watchman on the Wall”

Janet Mushegan Watson 1-27-2012

What is it that you want and what is it that you need? (Matthew 6:7-8; Matthew 6:24-34: Romans 8:26-31) You want to know all things and know the plan for you. You want to see the escape routes and the places of provision. You want to know that I am near you from one moment to the next. (John 11:21-27) You look for signs and wonders in which you can find assurance for that which you believe. But I tell you that signs and wonders come for those who do believe. (Isaiah 7:10-15; Luke 11:29-30) They are the provision in time of need. What you truly need is to believe that what I have said is true and to no longer allow the flesh to debate with the Truth [by] offering arguments as to why these things cannot be. (Genesis 3:1; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Galatians 1:15-16) You must allow your mind and heart to have this question settled: “Will you believe Me?” If you will believe in Me then everything else will follow; if you will not believe, then you are on your own to face all that which is coming upon the earth.

This is not the time to faint. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18; Galatians 6:7-10) This is the time to hold fast to all that you have come to know about Me. Trouble tests what you know. Illusions do not hold up under the heat of adversity. (Mark 4:14-20; Luke 21:25-28) I am giving you the following so that you will be prepared for that which is coming. Just a little while and you will see all that you have believed. My dear child I long to calm all your fears and doubts. Come into the safety of my presence and I will talk to you.

You must learn to watch with Me. (Matthew 26:38-41; Matthew 24:42-44; Luke 21:36; 1 Corinthians 16:13-14; 1 Thessalonians 5:3-7; Revelation 3:1-4) I know all things and as you come into My presence you will see what I see; hear what I hear; and so have access to what I know. What this means is that you will know what you need to know when you need to know it. You are a watchman. (Ezekiel 33:6) The watchman cannot be distracted by the multitude of noise around but must learn to discern where [true] danger is indicated. As you become more and more entangled in the details of your life you will either (because of fear) set alerts where they do not belong or will become so overwhelmed with the input that you begin to disregard all signs so that you can be taken unaware. (2 Timothy 2:2-4)

You must build a wall in your life--A wall that is built by My Word. (Isaiah 22:5; Isaiah 7:5-6; Nehemiah 1:2-4) This wall not only protects you from the assault of the enemy, but also becomes the vantage point from which you see as I see, as you are elevated above your circumstances and the distractions of life in a fallen world. Only My word can provide the elevation you need to see beyond the horizon of limited sight. (Where faith stops, sight stops) On this wall, you are building—by My Word—the next level of illumination on which you will stand. You can only truly possess the knowledge provided from the illumination when you, yourself have attained that level through the building of the wall of My word in your life. Another can warn—that one who has built above the rest. But for the individual to be able to stand in the dark hours of isolation and temptation they must also build that place of revelation. When one believes what you are saying they are in those moments lifted to that place of revelation. But unless they now are built up within themselves by the word, adversity will send them spiraling to destruction. (James 1:21-25) In moments of personal exultation you are lifted to where I Am. But unless the word forms in you, you will fall away in adversity because you turn back to what you really are sure of. (The strongest belief wins.)

Build the wall. Do not delay. The enemy is coming but in Me you will only see the destruction but will not be affected by it.

Scriptures for Prophetic Lesson on “Watchman on the Wall”
Janet Mushegan Watson 1-27-2012

Matthew 6:7-8
7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. NKJV

Matthew 6:24-34
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 25 "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 28 "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. NKJV

Romans 8:26-31
26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? NKJV

John 11:21-27
21 Now Martha said to Jesus, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You." 23 Jesus said to her, "Your brother will rise again." 24 Martha said to Him, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." 25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26 And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" 27 She said to Him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world." NKJV

Isaiah 7:10-15
10 Not long after this, the LORD sent this message to King Ahaz: 11 "Ask me for a sign, Ahaz, to prove that I will crush your enemies as I have promised. Ask for anything you like, and make it as difficult as you want."
12 But the king refused. "No," he said, "I wouldn't test the LORD like that."
13 Then Isaiah said, "Listen well, you royal family of David! You aren't satisfied to exhaust my patience. You exhaust the patience of God as well! 14 All right then, the Lord himself will choose the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel — 'God is with us.' NLT

Luke 11:29-30
29 As the crowd pressed in on Jesus, he said, "These are evil times, and this evil generation keeps asking me to show them a miraculous sign. But the only sign I will give them is the sign of the prophet Jonah. 30 What happened to him was a sign to the people of Nineveh that God had sent him. What happens to me will be a sign that God has sent me, the Son of Man, to these people. NLT

Genesis 3:1
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? KJV

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, NKJV

Galatians 1:15-16
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, NKJV

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. NKJV

Galatians 6:7-10
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. NKJV

Mark 4:14-20
14 The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. NKJV

Luke 21:25-28
"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; 26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." NKJV

Matthew 26:38-41
38 Then He said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me." 39 He went a little farther and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, "O My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will." 40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What! Could you not watch with Me one hour? 41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." NKJV

Matthew 24:42-44
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. NKJV

Luke 21:36
36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man." NKJV

1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 14 Let all that you do be done with love. NKJV

1 Corinthians 16:13
13 Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith (your conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength! AMP

1 Thessalonians 5:3-7
3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. NKJV

Revelation 3:1-4
'These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. NKJV

Ezekiel 33:6
6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.' NKJV

2 Timothy 2:2-4
3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. NKJV

Isaiah 22:5
5 For it is a day of trouble and treading down and perplexity
By the Lord GOD of hosts
In the Valley of Vision —
Breaking down the walls
And of crying to the mountain. NKJV

Isaiah 7:5-6
6 "Let us go up against Judah and trouble it, and let us make a gap in its wall for ourselves, and set a king over them, the son of Tabel" — NKJV

Nehemiah 1:2-4
3 And they said to me, "The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire." 4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. NKJV

James 1:21-25
21 So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the Word [obey the message], and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves [into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth]. 23 For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it and being a doer of it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his [own] natural face in a mirror; 24 For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).
