Manifesting Christ

This message is taken from a prophetic lesson that the Lord gave me titled, "Nine Things that You Must Immediately Do to see Christ Manifested in Your Life."  This message addresses the first of those nine things:

"Allow My word to be the guiding light out of the bondage of the flesh—the old man."  What this means is that, in order for Christ to be fully formed in us and manifested through us, we must submit ourselves to the process of "Being Challenged by the Word."

Manifestation of the New Creation

Then he showed me another vision. I saw the Lord standing beside a wall that had been built using a plumb line. He was checking it with a plumb line to see if it was straight. And the LORD said to me, "Amos, what do you see?"

I answered, "A plumb line."

And the Lord replied, "I will test my people with this plumb line. I will no longer ignore all their sins.

Amos 7: 7-8 NLT

But oh, my dear children! I feel as if I am going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.

Galatians 4:19 NLT

Here is what you must do:

Allow My word to be the guiding light out of the bondage of the flesh—the old man.

Being Challenged by the Word

(God's Input – All Comes From Christ)

The process of deliverance from the influence of the "flesh" takes the following form:

† BROKENNESS/OPENNESS [Everyone is broken—but not

necessarily broken before God.  We seek after own

remedies and make things worse.] (See 2 Corinthians

   7:10—Godly sorrow)

† RECEPTION (2 Corinthians 11:4; 1 Corinthians 2:14; 1

   Corinthians 3:2; 2 Thessalonians 2:10)

† OBEDIENCE/ALIGNMENT (Matthew 11:28; James 1:21)

† GROWTH (1 Peter 2:2; Matthew 13:18)

This cycle repeats itself as the pressure/presence of the Word produces further brokenness, etc.

The point of brokenness is the most vulnerable stage in your spiritual development and journey.  In this open, vulnerable state—a choice is made.  Some (people) remain broken and the brokenness destroys.  Some try to fill the brokenness with more of the same and so continue in a downward spiral of greater emptiness.  "Hell is enlarged," is the logical conclusion of brokenness with no remedy. (Isaiah 5:13-14)

As you meditate on My Word (Psalm 119:15) it will transform you.  Allow it to break and to plant—to grow and produce fruit.  So few understand this process and their ignorance is destroying them.  My Word loves My Word.

Adhere to what I have told you tenaciously.  If you do not—it will be stolen.  The realm of the spirit knows the difference between the one who truly believes and the one who offers only an empty consent that is not manifested in the total being. (Psalm 50:16; Acts 19:13-20)  Obedience to the Word gives you authority to use it.

Scriptures for "Manifestation of the New Creation"

2 Cor 7:10-12

10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. 11 For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter. NKJV

2 Cor 11:3-4

3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted — you may well put up with it! NKJV

1 Cor 2:13-15

13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. NKJV

1 Cor 3:2-4

2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? NKJV

2 Thess 2:9-12

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. NKJV

Matt 11:27-30

27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.  28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." NKJV

James 1:21-25

Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. NKJV

1 Peter 2:2-3

2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,   3 if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious. NKJV

Matt 13:18-23

18 "Now here is the explanation of the story I told about the farmer sowing grain:  19 The seed that fell on the hard path represents those who hear the Good News about the Kingdom and don't understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches the seed away from their hearts.  20 The rocky soil represents those who hear the message and receive it with joy.  21 But like young plants in such soil, their roots don't go very deep. At first they get along fine, but they wilt as soon as they have problems or are persecuted because they believe the word.  22 The thorny ground represents those who hear and accept the Good News, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares of this life and the lure of wealth, so no crop is produced.  23 The good soil represents the hearts of those who truly accept God's message and produce a huge harvest — thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted."  NLT

Isaiah 5:13-15

13 So I will send my people into exile far away because they do not know me. The great and honored among them will starve, and the common people will die of thirst. 14 The grave is licking its chops in anticipation of Jerusalem, this delicious morsel. Her great and lowly will be swallowed up, with all her drunken crowds. NLT

Ps 119:15-16

15 I will meditate on Your precepts,

And contemplate Your ways.

16 I will delight myself in Your statutes;

I will not forget Your word. NKJV

Ps 50:16-17

16 But to the wicked God says:

"What right have you to declare My statutes,

Or take My covenant in your mouth,

17 Seeing you hate instruction

And cast My words behind you? NKJV

Acts 19:13-20

13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches." 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?"

16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 18 And many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds. 19 Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. 20 So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. NKJV

1 John 2:15-17

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. NKJV

Col 3:1-11

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits at God's right hand in the place of honor and power. 2 Let heaven fill your thoughts. Do not think only about things down here on earth. 3 For you died when Christ died, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 And when Christ, who is your real life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. 5 So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual sin, impurity, lust, and shameful desires. Don't be greedy for the good things of this life, for that is idolatry. 6 God's terrible anger will come upon those who do such things. 7 You used to do them when your life was still part of this world. 8 But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. 9 Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old evil nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 In its place you have clothed yourselves with a brand-new nature that is continually being renewed as you learn more and more about Christ, who created this new nature within you. 11 In this new life, it doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. NLT
