THE DOOR

"The Door represents the way of passage from one way of being and doing to another.  You stand and wonder what is on the other side.  You long to see it; you long to experience it; you long to know about it.  Yet you do not enter through it."

Prophetic Lesson on "The Door"
Janet Mushegan Watson 8-23-2013

Revelation 4:1; Mark 16:17-18; Acts 2:17-21; Luke 21:14-16

The Door represents the way of passage from one way of being and doing to another.  You stand and wonder what is on the other side.  You long to see it; you long to experience it; you long to know about it.  Yet you do not enter through it.  You are very attached to your way of being and doing.  You have identified with your experience and have become tethered to it.  I have made a way for you to escape the throes of your carnal existence and to be united with eternity.  This is not just an offer for another time and place.  You are entering into a season of unimaginable confusion in terms of the world around you.  These are the final moments before the culmination of all things.  Now the door is open as a way of escape even before I gather you to myself.  Turmoil will cause many to stumble and to fall.  The time to go through the door is now.

Why do we not go through the open door?

>Ignorance (Ephesians 1:16-21; Ephesians 4:17-24)

>Deception (Matthew 24:4-8; Ephesians 4:17-24; Romans 8:6-8)

>Misplaced affection (Matthew 6:19-21; 1 John 2:15-17)

>Weak faith (Luke 8:22-25; 1 Peter 1:6-7; James 1:2-4)

>Lack of vigilance (Matthew 26:40-41; 2 Peter 17-18; 1 Thessalonians 5:6)

>Intimidation (John 12:42-43; 1 Corinthians 16:8-9)

Let Me tell you something.  Only those who have stepped inside the door will be able to endure the things that are coming upon the earth.  The assault is no secret.  It began with the discounting of the ultimate authority of your creator.  Then man emerged as the new sovereign.  When that has failed you, one has been put in My place—the son of perdition.  He came at first as that voice that questioned My authority.  His desire was and is not for your freedom but that he might rule and reign.  Many have missed the shift from righteousness to iniquity because one was subtly exchanged for the other.  Your spiritual senses have become dull to Me.  In your searching outside of Me you have entered into a trap.  You think that you have done this of your own will but you are mistaken. The events in your life have been ordered to make you open to the influence of the enemy.  He then offers the temptation to take a road that is not of Me.  My Spirit has been with you and has at every juncture offered the comfort and discipline of My Spirit to bring you to the moment of decision through which you surrender all to Me.

Through the door of total submission and total identification with Me you will find rest for your soul and power that you have not imagined or yet known.  Will you walk through?  Hesitation will be the undoing of many.

Revelation 3:7-12

Scriptures for Prophetic Lesson on
“The Door”

Revelation 4:1
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this." NKJV

Mark 16:17-18
17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." NKJV

Acts 2:17-21
17 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. 18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; And they shall prophesy. 19 I will show wonders in heaven above And signs in the earth beneath: Blood and fire and vapor of smoke. 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the LORD Shall be saved.' NKJV

Luke 21:14-16
14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. NKJV

Ephesians 1:16-21
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 20 which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,  21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. NKJV

Ephesians 4:17-24
This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. NKJV

Matthew 24:4-8
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.  5 For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.  6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.  NKJV

Ephesians 4:17-24
17 With the Lord's authority let me say this: Live no longer as the ungodly do, for they are hopelessly confused. 18 Their closed minds are full of darkness; they are far away from the life of God because they have shut their minds and hardened their hearts against him. 19 They don't care anymore about right and wrong, and they have given themselves over to immoral ways. Their lives are filled with all kinds of impurity and greed. 20 But that isn't what you were taught when you learned about Christ. 21 Since you have heard all about him and have learned the truth that is in Jesus, 22 throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. 23 Instead, there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. 24 You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God's likeness — righteous, holy, and true. NLT

Romans 8:6-8
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
NKJV

Matthew 6:19-21
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;  20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.  21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. NKJV

1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. NKJV

Luke 8:22-25
Now it happened, on a certain day, that He got into a boat with His disciples. And He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side of the lake." And they launched out. 23 But as they sailed He fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 But He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and marveled, saying to one another, "Who can this be? For He commands even the winds and water, and they obey Him!" NKJV

1 Peter 1:6-7
6 So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though it is necessary for you to endure many trials for a while. 7 These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold — and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold. So if your faith remains strong after being tried by fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. NLT

James 1:2-4
2 Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. 3 For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. NLT

Matthew 26:40-41
40 Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?  41 Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." NKJV

2 Peter 3:17-18
17 I am warning you ahead of time, dear friends, so that you can watch out and not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people. I don't want you to lose your own secure footing. 18 But grow in the special favor and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be all glory and honor, both now and forevermore. Amen. NLT

1 Thessalonians 5:6
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. NKJV

John 12:42-43
Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. NKJV

1 Corinthians 16:8-9
8 I will remain in Ephesus [however] until Pentecost, 9 For a wide door of opportunity for effectual [service] has opened to me [there, a great and promising one], and [there are] many adversaries. AMP

Revelation 3:7-12
'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":   8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.  9 Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie — indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.  10 Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.  11 Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.  12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. NKJV
