The Anointing: A Prophetic Lesson Given 5-20 2009
[Read John 1:1-5; 1 John 5:20; and, 1 Corinthians 2:12-13]
You do well to inquire concerning the anointing for the term has been used in many ways that are a distortion of the true meaning. Among these descriptions are: it is a feeling of power; it is an urgency; it is a particular gifting—but none of these describes the essential nature of the anointing as concerns the child of God. The anointing is the result of your spirit connecting directly with my Spirit—which is the Holy Spirit. The anointing describes what has come to replace original state of oneness with the Almighty. The fallen state of man required a sacrifice (Jesus Christ) to open a door in the wall of separation between man and his Creator. I now communicate with you in the inner man by way of my Spirit [John 14:17-26 AMP; Ephesians 2:11-14] which was impossible before the Restoration of all things through the Christ of God [John 16:12-14; 1 Cor. 2:14-15]. [The] Anointing references My essence [Holy Spirit] flowing inside of You. You try and fail because you try without the essential connection to your source being in operation. You are so distracted that you cannot hear the still small voice that is My Spirit in you. As you learn to attune [to adjust or accustom something to be receptive or responsive to something else] to the Spirit you will be empowered to walk in total obedience. Faith comes by hearing (understanding) the Word in you by way of My Spirit. My Voice empowers you to do what I AM has offered.
What is the greater thing (work) [John 14:12]? The greater thing is the Good News of the Gospel that was only made available after the Sacrifice was made and the way of communication was reestablished (the infilling of the Holy Spirit). The Good News is that you can now truly walk in obedience to My Voice through the door of access. Boldly approaching the throne of grace [Hebrews 4:16] is done through your spirit as you access My Spirit now dwelling in your being. Hearing My voice with clarity will lead to total submission and unity with the All in All [compare to 1 John 3:2].
[Why do I sometimes "feel" the Spirit and other times I do not?] When the circulation is inhibited to a particular part of your body you feel it when the circulation is restored. Once it is flowing normally you do not feel that tingling sensation anymore but you do have normal operation of that part of your body restored. Now because you still live in the body of corruption, your receptivity wanes and waxes according to the focus of your thinking. If we live in the Spirit—let us also walk in the Spirit [Galatians 5:24-25] expresses the command to keep flowing that which has brought us to life. If the circulation to a particular body part is constrained long enough—it will "die." Although the rest of the body may still be able to operate—that part is now of no use. Offending the Spirit [Ephesians 4:30; 1 Thess. 5:19; Ephesians 6:16; Hebrews 12:29] is the action of refusing to give place to My Voice so that now your ability to receive is "dead."
I desire to tell you many things but you still cannot bear them because my Spirit does not have unfettered access to your mind. The carnal mind can not hear my voice. You are a dual fuel being. On the one hand you can run on the Spirit—this is living in the anointing. On the other hand you can run on the lust of the flesh; the lust of the eyes; and the pride of life which are deafness, blindness, and dumbness in terms of the things of the Spirit [Romans 7:24; 1 John 2:15-17].
What do you want? The price of the anointing is your life. If you will surrender total access to Me, I will give total access to you.
