Prophetic Lesson on the True Nature of the Spiritual Journey (Part 2)
We truly are living in the Last Days before the coming of Jesus Christ.  Now, as never before, we must seek God for the leading of His Spirit in all areas of our lives.  Time is short and we must make the most of every opportunity to bring the harvest of souls into the Kingdom of God.  The Lord gave me this lesson on "The Nature of the Spiritual Journey."  It is provided here for your edification.  Read it; listen to it; ACT on it!

[Before reading on please scroll down and read Hebrews 5:8-6:3 ]

As to the nature of the progressive spiritual journey—I will tell you this:

For the Christ it culminated at Jerusalem where the sins of the world were executed along with His body.  (Romans 8:1-4)  He did not die for Himself for he needed no redemption—His death was for the created order of mankind.  (2 Corinthians 5:21)

Your spiritual journey begins with a visit to the cross of Christ where you begin your own process of death and life.  (Romans 6:5-11)  You begin to die to yourself—your motives, your intellect, your reasoning while at the same time awaking to righteousness.  (1 Corinthians 15:34)  One is dependent upon the other and are indeed the same process.  (Galatians 5:16)  So you can understand I will point to you certain "landmarks" along your way.  These basically reference levels of illumination.  [Your struggle (in any area) is an indication that you need further illumination.]

The journey is not one of distance but of substance—it is the expression of your personal transformation as guided by My Holy Spirit to form the God-man from you.  (2 Corinthians 5:17-19; Galatians 4:19)  Illumination is the result of becoming like the thing you seek (2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP) with illumination resulting in further transformation in a beautifully harmonic dance of liberation from the bondage of fallen flesh.  Your identification with the Christ on the cross brings death to your earthly members.  Your resurrection to newness of life comes as you are taken into the tomb of nothingness to await My call to life in the Spirit.  You cannot reject this moment of nothingness—it is the door into life everlasting.

When you have been raised into newness of life (Romans 6:4) you now begin your walk in the Spirit.  Your first place of camp is the desert where your flesh is tried to see if it still rules—for if it does—you must be taken back to the place of the cross.  No residue of your former self is usable to Me for it was formed out of sin and bondage.  I do not use that which is not part of My Spirit.  In the desert you will find the necessity of walking in My Word—it is your only link to the eternal power.  (Matthew 4:1)  As I say—so it is.  In your disobedience or ignorance you provide a place for the former things to gain entrance into the renewed creation.  (Ephesians 4:27; Romans 6:12)  The enemy of your soul desires to live through you and will not easily relinquish what has been His.  But I do not easily relinquish and so provided for your way of escape.

>I cannot be identified with sin—therefore I took on the form of a Servant so that Sin could be conquered in the body<

After the wilderness where you have learned to feed, operate, and defend, using your obedience to My Word—you begin what you may reference as a mission—your mission.  The mission of the Saint always involves the liberation of the creation.  You do—through your body—for others, what Christ has done for you.  (2 Corinthians 5:20) You become a vessel of righteousness in a corrupt environment so that My Will is manifest through you.

Your "wedding" experience (John 2) involves the first experiences of using that which I have placed in you—it must always be done in reluctance—not of your will but of your self.  You do not glory in the power that I have placed within you but rather that My will is done through you—the work of redemption.  (Luke 10:20)

When you stand in the temple and declare my Word is the process through which you identify with what I have said about you.  (Luke 4:18-22)  You weigh yourself by what you "know" about yourself as if you know more about My created than the I Am.  I see what you do not see and that includes those things you do not see in yourself.  (2 Corinthians 5:16)  As you come to confidently profess what I have said—you will be persecuted in the flesh—by the flesh.  If you abandon the Temple experience you will never be able to endure.

The moment of exaltation (John 12—the triumphal entry) comes as the new wilderness where your commitment to obedience is again tested to see if you will choose your own way or submit to the appointment at the cross.  You can only face the suffering of your flesh by committing all into My will.  Those closest to you may betray you for they have not chosen the path of suffering but rather are still trying to accomplish their own desires.  (1 Peter 4:4 NLT)  I will call you to Jerusalem again—you must not draw back.  (Matthew 20:18; Hebrews 10:39)  You must fulfill My purpose in you.

Now understand that all of these appointments may be happening at once in different areas of your life.  Total submission is where all that you are comes to me—apart from Sin to answer My call.

Scriptures for Prophetic Word on the Nature of the Spiritual Journey

Heb 5:8-6:3

8 So even though Jesus was God's Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. 9 In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. 10 And God designated him to be a High Priest in the line of Melchizedek. 11 There is so much more we would like to say about this. But you don't seem to listen, so it's hard to make you understand. 12 You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures. You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food. 13 And a person who is living on milk isn't very far along in the Christian life and doesn't know much about doing what is right. 14 Solid food is for those who are mature, who have trained themselves to recognize the difference between right and wrong and then do what is right.

6:1 So let us stop going over the basics of Christianity again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don't need to start all over again with the importance of turning away from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. 2 You don't need further instruction about baptisms, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And so, God willing, we will move forward to further understanding. NLT

Psalms 119:18

Open my eyes, that I may see

Wondrous things from Your law.  NKJV

Romans 1:16-17

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."  NKJV

Rom 8:1-4

So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours are sinful. God destroyed sin's control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.  NLT

2 Cor 5:21

21 For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].  AMP

Rom 6:5-13

5 Since we have been united with him in his death, we will also be raised as he was. 6 Our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. 7 For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. 8 And since we died with Christ, we know we will also share his new life. 9 We are sure of this because Christ rose from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 He died once to defeat sin, and now he lives for the glory of God. 11 So you should consider yourselves dead to sin and able to live for the glory of God through Christ Jesus. 12 Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to its lustful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become a tool of wickedness, to be used for sinning. Instead, give yourselves completely to God since you have been given new life. And use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the glory of God. NLT

1 Cor 15:34

34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.  NKJV

Gal 5:16-18

16 So I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. 17 The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are opposite from what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict. 18 But when you are directed by the Holy Spirit, you are no longer subject to the law.  NLT

2 Cor 5:17-19

17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

18 But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].

19 It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).  AMP

Gal 4:19

19 But oh, my dear children! I feel as if I am going through labor pains for you again, and they will continue until Christ is fully developed in your lives.  NLT

2 Cor 3:18

18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.  AMP

Rom 6:4

4 We were buried therefore with Him by the baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious [power] of the Father, so we too might [habitually] live and behave in newness of life.  AMP

Eph 4:27

27 Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].  AMP

Rom 6:12-14

12 Do not let sin control the way you live; do not give in to its lustful desires. 13 Do not let any part of your body become a tool of wickedness, to be used for sinning. Instead, give yourselves completely to God since you have been given new life. And use your whole body as a tool to do what is right for the glory of God. NLT

2 Cor 5:19-20

19 It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor).

20 So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.  AMP

Luke 10:20

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven.  AMP

Luke 4:18-22

18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,

Because He has anointed Me

To preach the gospel to the poor;

He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives

And recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed;

19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."

20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."  22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said,"Is this not Joseph's son?"  NKJV

2 Cor 5:16

16 So we have stopped evaluating others by what the world thinks about them. Once I mistakenly thought of Christ that way, as though he were merely a human being. How differently I think about him now!  NLT

1 Peter 4:4

4 Of course, your former friends are very surprised when you no longer join them in the wicked things they do, and they say evil things about you.  NLT

Matt 20:18-19

18 "When we get to Jerusalem," he said, "the Son of Man will be betrayed to the leading priests and the teachers of religious law. They will sentence him to die.  19 Then they will hand him over to the Romans to be mocked, whipped, and crucified. But on the third day he will be raised from the dead."  NLT

Heb 10:39

39 But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.  NKJV
